About the event
The National Research Network (RNP) organizes the International Information Security Day (DISI) since 2005 through its Security Incident Response Center (CAIS).
The event, which is held in some Brazilian state capital yearly, gathers experts in security to share knowledge with internet users, educate and increase their awareness on IT security issues.
DISI 2012 will be held on August, 29th at Hotel Jaraguá, São Paulo (SP). On each edition of the event, the organizers choose a theme to focus the activities. This year’s discussions will be based on the theme “Data privacy: what are you sharing?”
Among DISI’s planned awareness activities are: talks about security issues, distribution of awareness handout material, and promotion of initiatives to spread information on security.
The talks will be free, open to the general public via registration, and also accessible by live webcasts.
