About Privacy Policy

This document describes the privacy policy practices for the DISI (International Information Security Day) event website, henceforth called "DISI 2013 website", supported by the Security Incident Response Center (CAIS) of the National Research Network (RNP). As user of the website, you agree with our privacy protection practices. If you do not agree with some practice, you may not use the website or download artifacts from it. Navigating the DISI 2013 website acknowledges your acceptance of the terms of this Privacy Policy.

 

Information Security

The privacy policy of the DISI 2013 website is based on the commitment with security, transparency and respect for users and visitors. RNP, concerned with the commitment above, warrants privacy protection of personal information on the registration records of the event attendees as well as for participant organizations.

The DISI 2013 website will hold records, during the registration, with personal data such as name, e-mail, address, ID and place of work or academic enrollment. These data will be used solely for registration control of attendees and in the Security Month. The e-mail address given in the registration form may be used solely for contact by the event organizers, as well as for subscription of participant organizations to the event’s mail list. We guarantee any user’s private information won’t be distributed, published, nor sold, under any circumstances, unless under court order.

In the day of the event, an optional background knowledge quiz on information security will be given.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties and do not publish information that may identify the visitors. Only general, aggregated data, referring to the total number of people accessing our website areas such as website navigation statistics, may be disclosed. Therefore, some website access information may actually be recorded.
